Channel 5 celebrates 21st anniversary of ‘Friends’

To mark the 21st anniversary of American sitcom Friends, and as a good cross promotion exercise for Comedy Central, Channel 5 is to air ten episodes of the show.

For one day only, the sitcom starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, will air on Channel 5 as part of a special Comedy Central branded block. On Sunday, 13th September 2015, Channel 5 will celebrate the 21st anniversary of the iconic show with ten back to back episodes airing from 12-5pm.

The episodes to be featured are, The One Where Ross Finds Out, The One With The Prom Video, The One Where No One’s Ready, The One With The Embryos, The With Ross’s Wedding (2), The One Where Everybody Finds Out, The One Where Ross Got High, The One With The Proposal (2), The One With The Rumour and The One Where Ross Is Fine.

They have been hand-picked by the team at Comedy Central who are turning September into an all out FriendsFest! On air, Comedy Central viewers can indulge and watch all 236 episodes of the show in chronological order, while off air a five day interactive event for fans is taking place in London later this month. Tickets to the FriendsFest event sold out within minutes of going on sale.
