Tony Hadley voted out of the I’m A Celebrity jungle

Spandau Ballet’s Tony Hadley has become the seventh person to leave I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after losing out in the latest public vote.

“It’s been a great experience, but it’s good to be out… I get to see my family,” a relieved Tony told Ant & Dec. “I’ve had a laugh, it’s been very funny,”

Tony joked that he would never ‘live down’ the tongue action he displayed while competing against Kieron Dyer and Vicky Pattison in the ‘Steps to Hell’ trial. “The hardest thing for me was not doing anything,” he added of being the camp’s first leader.

After playing down speculation of the show not being real, Tony discussed his arguments with Lady C, standing by his decision not to be Lady C, Kieron and Chris’s bell boy whilst they were staying at the jungle’s boutique hotel.

“It had nothing to do with who it was. It was just – I don’t wear bell boy hats. I just felt that was one step too far; it was a bit too humiliating. I mean, you could say all of the trials are humiliating but I think they’re challenging and they’re testing your mental mettle. But putting a bell boy hat on and serving someone until whatever time in the morning… that wasn’t my style.” – Tony on his refusal to be the bell boy

“It made really good television actually,” he added of the argument the decision spawned.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow at 9.30pm on ITV
