Bryan Adams to perform New Year’s Eve concert for BBC One
Bryan Adams is to bring in the New Year on BBC One with a concert from Westminster Central Hall.
International music superstar Adams will be performing in the build-up to the clock striking midnight to see in 2016 and continuing again after the fireworks, live on BBC One in Bryan Adams Rocks Big Ben Live on New Year’s Eve.
“I can’t think of a better excuse than New Year’s Eve to put on a big live rock show to see in 2016. It’s going to be a fantastic night.” – Bryan Adams
New Year’s Eve Fireworks will be counting down to midnight and bringing audiences around the country all the spectacular action from the firework display from the banks of the river Thames in London.
The broadcast of the event will be presented by The National Lottery Live host and BBC Breakfast presenter Ore Oduba. Previous New Year’s Eve celebrations – Queen + Adam Lambert in 2014 and Gary Barlow in 2013 – have been the most watched TV music performances of the year.
“Bryan Adams, with his world-famous catalogue of hit songs, is the perfect artist to headline Westminster Central Hall as well as living rooms up and down the country, on the biggest party night of the year!” – Guy Freeman, Editor, Special Events BBC
Approximately 2000 tickets went on sale on 4th December for music fans wishing to attend the gig.
