Worried about reports of Jordan’s bad behaviour, Denise (Diane Parish) is intent on finding her step-son. Denise has already opened Pandora’s Box and made contact with her imprisoned serial killer ex-husband, Lucas (Don Gilet). And now, searching for Jordan, Denise doesn’t know what she’s letting herself in for.
Jordan left Walford six years ago to live with his aunt but returns an angry and damaged young man who will turn Denise and her family’s lives upside down. Denise can still see the good in her step-son but viewers will be left fearing that volatile Jordan takes very much after his father. As Denise makes inroads with Jordan, we will all fear that she’s putting herself, her family and the entire Square in danger.
“Coming into EastEnders is an absolute dream. Jordan is going through a very tough time and needs people in his corner but with a Dad like Lucas will he be able to trust anyone? It’s going to be brilliant to play him and I can’t wait to get started.” – Joivan Wade
The beeb biography for the character notes that ‘Jordan had a difficult beginning – his mum Trina was a drug addict and he was born with a dependency on heroin, spending his early days in an incubator. His dad, also a former drug addict, reformed his life and became a pastor, bringing Jordan to Walford and getting back with his ex-girlfriend, Denise.
When Trina tracked him down to Walford, Jordan forgave his mum and they began tentative steps towards a relationship. But tragedy struck when Jordan found Trina’s body in Charlie’s summer house in September 2009. Little did he know that she’d been killed by his father. Meanwhile, Jordan was forging a friendship with troubled Ben Mitchell. The friendship turned sour and Jordan began to bully Ben, who retaliated by attacking Jordan with a spanner – leaving him in hospital with a fractured skull.
However, the worst was yet to come for Jordan. He discovered that Lucas had killed not only his mother, but Denise’s ex, Owen, and had held Denise hostage, faking her death too.’
