Three new faces join the cast of Hollyoaks as the bold and brazen brothers, The Donovans.

Jimmy Essex, Maxim Baldry and Luke Jerdy have joined the Channel 4 soap to play the cheeky trio who are half- brothers to Grace Black (Tamara Wall).

“I’m so thrilled to be starting the show, Hollyoaks is already starting to feel like home. Adam has some amazing storylines coming up and I can’t wait to share them with the fans. The Donovan brothers are definitely going to cause a stir!” – Jimmy Essex

First appearing on our screens in April, the larger than life Essex Boys will bicker over girls and get territorial over hair gel, but will always be thick as thieves thanks to a bond based on strong, mutual respect.

Jimmy Essex plays the eldest of the family, Adam, who possesses a big streak of conscience that stops him from straying over certain lines that his ruthless half-sister wouldn’t think twice about crossing. Maxim Baldry takes the role of suave and brooding Liam who is a massive hit with the ladies but never does third dates and always bails before they get too attached.

“I’m really happy to be joining the team at Hollyoaks. There’s an exciting collective energy and positive spirit to make the show the best it can be. I’m hoping my character Jesse can bring an infectious enthusiasm and lots of laughter to the screen. He’s cheeky, loyal and has a real zest for life.” – Luke Jerdy

Jesse is the youngest brother, played by Luke Jerdy. A fool for love who is always one date away from being head over heels, Jesse’s over-enthusiasm results in him being Friend Zoned. Yet nobody would guess that these three likely lads come from a family haunted by the spectre of Fraser Black…

“I’m really excited to be joining the team at Hollyoaks. The cast and crew have been super welcoming and helped me settle into life in Liverpool smoothly. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Liam but if his first scenes are anything to go by, he’s going to get to know some of the Hollyoaks ladies very well…” – Maxim Baldry

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6.30pm on Channel 4 with a first look to the following episode at 7pm on E4
