Michael Caines and Prue Leith join My Kitchen Rules UK

Acclaimed restaurateurs Michael Caines MBE and Prue Leith CBE have been enlisted as co-hosts and judges on My Kitchen Rules UK. Welsh presenter Steve Jones will also host the series.

Spawned from Australia’s ‘My Kitchen Rules’ – a hit for the Seven network – the competitive elimination format pits pairs of amateur cooks against each other who will run pop-up restaurants from their home. The cooks will have to produce a menu of dishes for judges Prue and Michael and their competition rivals to critique.

£10,000 and a chance to prove their home cooking is up to restaurant standard is at stake for the competitors whose work will be judged by Caines, a two-time Michelin Star awarded restaurateur and Michelin Star awarded restaurateur and food writer Leith.

Casting is currently underway for contestants from across the country to take part in the series, which will air this summer.

“We’re on the hunt for home cooks passionate about their food and are especially keen to hear from amateur cooks in Scotland.” – Executive Producer, Eve Kay
