CBBC commissions Leopard Drama’s EVE for third series
Leopard Drama, part of production super-indie, Argonon, have announced the recommission of acclaimed children’s TV series, EVE, for a third season on CBBC.
“The adventures of Eve, the world’s first sentient robot, have proved a real favourite with the CBBC audience, so we’re delighted to bring her back. Series two ended in explosive fashion so we can’t wait to see what Eve and the gang will be up to in series three!” – Amy Buscombe, Senior Drama Producer, CBBC Independents
The sci-fi drama stars Poppy Lee Friar as Eve, a female sentient robot, living with a human family in suburbia and trying to make sense of life as a teenager. Written by the renowned children’s writer Emma Reeves and co-created by David Chikwe, Creative Director of Blacklisted Films (part of the Argonon group), the third series follows the latest adventures of Eve, as she faces new teenage challenges as well as a darker global threat.
The latest series will be executive produced by Amy Buscombe for CBBC and Ruth Caleb for Leopard Drama, alongside series producer David Chikwe and producer Peter Gallagher. Production will take place this summer in Scotland.
“EVE has sold internationally to Latin America, Germany, Australia and beyond and we’re incredibly proud of the team in Scotland who have received well-deserved recognition from the Royal Television Society for their creative and technical excellence. We can’t wait to bring EVE’s latest adventures to the BBC later this year.” – Joey Attawia, Argonon Executive Producer
Following a raft of award nominations EVE will return to screens later this year.
