The 22 episode medical crime drama stars Morris Chestnut as Dr Beaumont Rosewood Jr. When the series debut on Fox stateside it delivered an outstanding 9.0 million total viewers (Live +3). Set in the vibrant and sultry Miami, Dr. Rosewood is the city’s top private pathologist. Rosewood is as talented as he is charming. He partners up with the no-nonsense Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) to crack Miami’s most challenging cases. Villa doesn’t always go strictly by the book. She is tough and guarded but Rosewood’s constant optimism is infectious.
Joining Rosewood state-of-the-art laboratory are his loyal team, his sister and ‘toxicology queen’ Pippy (Gabrielle Dennis), and her fiancée Tara, the DNA specialist (Anna Konkle).
Rosewood believes that every moment should be lived to the fullest. His lust for life is fuelled by a rare heart condition, a ticking time bomb which could kill him any second. But what drives him most are the victims whose chances are taken away from them.
“It’s fantastic that this great new US series is coming to Alibi. We’re really pleased with this excellent addition to our growing slate of brilliant new content. It fits really well with all our premium crime dramas, and will definitely appeal to the increasing ranks of Alibi fans.” – UKTV’s general manager of Alibi, Adrian Wills
