Midnight Texas to air on Syfy UK from July

Syfy UK is to air Universal Television’s supernatural thriller Midnight Texas later this summer.

“As the ultimate science fiction fan, Syfy puts great storytelling at the heart of what we do. Supernatural drama Midnight Texas, with its community of vampires, witches, werewolves, psychics and other-worldly characters – is a perfect choice for Syfy viewers who come to us to Imagine Greater.” – Chrystele Fremaux, VP Programming, UK & Emerging Markets, NBCUniversal International Networks

Midnight is a remote town in Texas where nothing is what it seems; where being normal is strange and only outsiders fit in. Midnight is a mysterious safe haven for those who are different – a perfect place for anyone looking to hide from the outside world.

The supernatural thriller stars François Arnaud as Manfred, a charming, powerful psychic who can communicate with spirits and finds safety in Midnight by surrounding himself with both human and supernatural allies. However, Manfred’s new home and his new friends are soon under threat as the town fights off outside pressures from ever-suspicious cops, deadly biker gangs and their own dangerous pasts, but they band together to form an unlikely but strong family.

The ten episode series stars an ensemble cast that also includes Dylan Bruce as Bobo, the proprietor of Midnight’s local pawn shop; Parisa Fitz-Henley as Fiji, a witch who owns the local wiccan shop; Arielle Kebbel as Olivia, a mysterious assassin; Jason Lewis as Joe, an angel who knows all of Midnight’s secrets; Peter Mensah as Lemuel, a wise vampire; Sarah Ramos as Creek, an aspiring writer with big dreams who learns her family is harboring a deep secret; and Yul Vazquez as Reverend Emilio Sheehan, who can’t resist the pull of a full moon.

The series, based on the best-selling book series by critically acclaimed writer Charlaine Harris, will have its UK broadcast premiere on Syfy UK in July.
