Harry Styles gets BBC entertainment special

The One Direction star is to be the subject of a hour-long entertainment show, exclusive to the BBC this autumn.

Harry Styles At The BBC, hosted by Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw, will be broadcast on BBC One in November.

Harry, who earlier this year launched as a solo performer when he premiered his debut single Sign Of The Times on The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw, will perform tracks from his self-titled number one debut album – as well as talking to friend Nick about his career and life to date, being a solo artist and the start of his acting career. 

The one-off 60-minute special from BBC Studios, filmed in front of a live studio audience in Manchester, will include songs Harry has never sung on telly before.

Harry came to prominence on The X Factor in 2010; initially auditioning as a solo artist before being placed into a group. One Direction were the third placed contestants that year, but not winning the competition didn’t hamper their music career. The band (now on ‘hiatus’) have become a global success with hits including What Makes You Beautiful, Live While We’re Young and Story Of My Life.

The beeb’s Harry special follows in the footsteps of Adele At The BBC and Michael Bublé At The BBC.
