“I am so excited to be joining the cast of Neighbours once again!  It’s even more special that it’s on British soil. Dakota is such a fun, sassy character to play I am interested to see what she’s up to 3 years on!” – Sheree Murphy

Sheree is best known for her Emmerdale role as Tricia Stokes whose storylines included a marriage of convenience, an on-off relationship with hapless Marlon, aspirations to become a Bollywood star and being crushed by the Woolpack chimney.

The actress – who has been married to Australian football ace Harry Kewell since 2002 – bowed out of the role in 2004 after six years. She first returned to soap with the role of Eva Strong in Hollyoaks between 2010-2011, before being snapped up by Neighbours as mischievous Dakota Davies in 2014.

During the three months Murphy was previously on Neighbours, her character caused havoc with some of the show’s leading men including Stefan Dennis and Scott McGregor.

“I just feel like I’m coming home again. To be able to work in Melbourne for such an iconic soap is a real dream come true. Melbourne is a fantastic city with great weather, people and restaurants, what more could you need? I’ve been watching Neighbours since the very beginning so to grow up watching a show and to now be part of it is unbelievable. Neighbours is a huge part of the Australian culture just like our soaps in the UK.”– Sheree noted of her new Neighbours role in 2014
