Tanya Franks returning to EastEnders
Drug and alcohol addict Rainie previously appeared in the show for several stints between 2007 and 2015.
Rainie returned to the Square for six months in 2011
The actress will make a brief appearance as Rainie in tomorrow’s (19th January) episode when doctors withdraw her niece Abi’s (Lorna Fitzgerald) life support machine.
Abi has been in an irremediable coma since falling from the roof of the Queen Vic on Christmas Day.
There will be a further return for Rainie in the spring, according to The Sun.

Rainie became a thorn in Ian’s side after making a surprise return to Walford in 2014
Franks has appeared in EastEnders on-and-off since 2007.
Away from Albert Square, the actress is well-known for her roles in Pulling and Broadchurch.
Rainie’s storylines to date have included going on a drug binge with Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and blackmailing Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) after he paid her for sex on the night his daughter Lucy was killed.
