Fortitude to record scenes at The Bottle Yard Studios

The Sky Original Production will use a total of 50,0000 sq ft of build space at The Bottle Yard Studios.

The sets for the programme will span Tank Houses 1 & 4 and Studio 2. Full prop store will be based on site and a number of facilities provided by the Studios’ tenant companies will be used by production during the UK leg of filming.

The third and final trip to the Arctic Norwegian settlement of Fortitude will feature returning key cast including Dennis Quaid, Richard Dormer, Sienna Guillory, Luke Treadaway, Alexandra Moen, Mia Jexen  and Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson, as well as some new faces to be announced at a later date.

Fortitude is written by Simon Donald with 1.4 million viewers tuned in to each episode of the second series last year, which received glowing reviews from The Observer and Empire. The first two seasons have been sold to more than 200 broadcasters internationally, making it a best-seller for Sky Vision.

Recent productions made at The Bottle Yard Studios include BBC drama Poldark (BBC) which recently wrapped series four production, Channel 4 gameshow The Crystal Maze which this week confirmed it would return to the Studios to film 12 new episodes this Spring, STARZ drama The White Princess which aired to US and UL audiences in 2016 and 2017, series three of Broadchurch (ITV) which picked up the National Television Award for Best Crime Drama this week, and Three Girls (BBC), the most watched drama on iPlayer upon its release last year.
