Hollyoaks special steps into the future
The Channel 4 serial is to transmit a Valentine’s special that appears to show the future.
On Tuesday 13th February at 7pm on E4, a special Valentine’s episode will feature mysterious scenes from the future that appear to show events that will alter the lives of 3 families in the village. The episode, which includes Myra fortune telling, will set up 3 big mystical stories that will run for the next 4 months.
In the run-up to the mystical episode of Hollyoaks – where the future is foreseen – there will be a series of clues hidden on the Hollyoaks Instagram page. Can you predict what will happen to your favourite Hollyoaks characters?
The campaign has kicked off today and each day a Card of Fate will be dealt on the main Hollyoaks Instagram page, tagging an actor from the show, with a hidden audio-card behind it. Viewers will be encouraged to swipe to reveal a character’s hand, but it’s up to them to read what is dealt and work out its true meaning.
After all eight cards have been revealed, there will be a flash-forward episode on E4 that will give an even bigger glimpse into the future, but can fate change? The edition will be seen on Valentine’s Day at 6.30pm on Channel 4.
It isn’t the first time the popular saga has ‘flashed forward’ with scenes airing in 2009 depicting future happenings in 2010. This storyline saw moments from six months ahead of the plot focusing on the wedding of Calvin Valentine and Carmel McQueen played by Ricky Whittle and Gemma Merna.
