Gino D’Acampo beats One Direction to be Britain’s number one Valentine’s Day date
Gino D’Acampo has beaten off hot competition to be crowned Britain’s number one Valentine’s date.
Asked, “Which of the following celebrity TV contestants would you most like to go on a Valentine’s Day date with?” 29 percent of females said they would most like to take the ITV This Morning Italian chef and Series 9 I’m A Celeb winner out for Valentine’s Day.
Pitched in against famous faces from Strictly Come Dancing, Big Brother, Great British Bake Off, The X Factor, The Apprentice and I’m A Celeb, D’Acampo was the pick for women, ahead of the likes of Joe Swash, Mark Ramprakash and One Direction, while Leona Lewis edged the male vote with 16 percent.
Strictly Come Dancing champion Caroline Flack tied in first place with X Factor 2006 winner Lewis but finished behind Katie Price in several regions, most notably London.
Price, who appeared in both I’m A Celeb and Big Brother, polled more votes than any other female in London as well as in Cardiff, but could only hold onto the third position nationally.
With just 3 votes, Ziggy Lichman from the 8th series of Big Brother, was the most undesired Valentine’s date for the women, while Great British Bake Off’s Val Stones polled lowest with men.
