Lee Ryan leaves Strictly Come Dancing

The singer and actor exited the competition this weekend.

Lee and his partner Nadiya Bychkova faced the dreaded dance off with Casualty star Charles Venn and his partner Karen Clifton after the judges’ scores were combined with the results of the viewers’ votes.

Each couple performed their routine from Saturday’s (6 October) movie-themed show again; Lee and Nadiya performed their Cha Cha Cha to The Power Of Love from Back To The Future and Charles and Karen performed their American Smooth to Up Where We Belong from An Officer and a Gentleman.

The judges then delivered their verdicts with Craig Revel Horwood, Dame Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli choosing to save Charles and Karen. However, head judge Shirley Ballas noted that she would have kept Lee and Nadiya in the competition.

“I’ve had a really lovely time, even though it’s been short it seems like I’ve been here a long time because it’s been so intense, it’s been amazing. I love these guys, I absolutely love every single one of them. There’s so much love in everyone it’s been a memory that I will treasure for the rest of my life, I really will.” – Lee Ryan

Tonight’s Results show also saw the Strictly studio transformed into one of the wettest locations in London as the pros performed a very modern tribute to Singing In The Rain, and Grammy Award-winner Gladys Knight performed the Bond classic Licence To Kill.

The remaining thirteen couples will take to the dancefloor on Saturday 13th October at 6.40pm
