Hollyoaks and Good Morning Britain help Jack Reynolds make soap history

The Channel 4 soap opera has made the challenge come true for the OAP.

Hollyoaks welcomed Jack Reynolds to their set at Lime Pictures Studios today, Monday 8th April, in an attempt for him to become the oldest man in soap.

Jack, who had his 107th birthday this weekend, has completed a challenge every year for the last four years including riding a zip wire and a rollercoaster and getting a tattoo, but this year he wanted to flex his acting muscles.

Nikki Sanderson who plays Maxine, Adam Rickitt who features as Kyle and Jacob Roberts who portrays Damon joined Jack on set and mentored him through the scene, which will be broadcast on E4 and Channel 4 in June.

Good Morning Britain have helped to organise Jack’s challenges and announced his latest attempt live on this morning’s show. Viewers will be able to see whether Jack has completed the World Record title attempt on the ITV breakfast show tomorrow morning, April 9th from 6am.

Guinness World Records adjudicator, Mark McKinely was on set to officiate the record title attempt.
