Ciara Janson reprises Nicole Owen role for Hollyoaks

The character will be back on screen next month.

Nicole arrived in Hollyoaks with brothers Russ and Sam and mum Carrie in 2004.

During her previous time in the soap, Nicole was kidnapped by evil rapist, Andy Holt and her own brother, Sam who had been enticed into Andy’s dark world. It was the actions of her brother, Sam that prompted her departure in 2006, after he set fire to The Dog with a fatality total of four including Mel and Sophie Burton.

Nicole, who briefly returned for three episodes in 2007, will appear again in a number of episodes over the next couple of months, when her nephew Max, who is currently living with Mercedes, calls her feeling unwanted.

“It’s such a pleasure to be reunited with some wonderful familiar faces, and to be introduced to those who I haven’t met before. It’s like coming back home.” – Ciara Janson

The actress has also provided the voice of Amy, a companion of the fifth Doctor, in a number of Doctor Who audio plays by Big Finish and has taken on stage roles including a West End production of New Boy.

The mum-of-two is engaged to Eurovision winner and presenter, Måns Zelmerlöw.
