The first of two choices from Channel 4 this evening, and it should be a wee topical joy tonight with The Last Leg as the triple Bafta-nominated series continues its 17th series in a week that Tory Esther McVey spectacularly fell out of the race to be the next PM.
Hosts Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker are sure to once more bring their honest and upbeat brand of satirical comedy to that and the other news that’s been making the headlines this past week.

Isle of Wight Festival, Sky Arts at 7pm
The summer festival season kicks off with the first major UK festival of the year.
The acts gracing the main stage this year include Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Biffy Clyro, George Ezra, Richard
Ashcroft, Courteeners, Bastille, Fat Boy Slim and, um, Rick Astley.

Bake Off – The Professionals – Final, Channel 4 at 8pm
Hosted by Liam Charles and Tom Allen, it’s the final of Bake Off: The Professionals 2019.
The three remaining teams must fight tooth and mixing bowl to be crowned the winners of this incredibly tough patisserie competition. Judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden have for the first time set two challenges for the final: four hours to create a stunning afternoon tea; and seven hours to create a mind-blowing wedding feast.
