STV Productions boost entertainment team

STV Productions, led by David Mortimer, has announced a key appointment to further strengthen its Entertainment team.

Josephine Brassey, STV Head of Development, Entertainment.

Josephine Brassey will join the business as Head of Development, Entertainment. With vast experience in original content creation and development for UK and international markets, Josephine is currently Head of International Development at 12 Yard Productions, where she has overseen the international rollout of hit shows including Big Star’s Little Star, I’ll Get This and Think Tank. In the UK she has secured commissions for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, including the long-running BBC quiz Perfection.

Headed up by Gary Chippington, STV Productions’ Entertainment team has a strong track-record in delivering successful entertainment shows, including iconic game show Catchphrase for ITV and, most recently, relationship series Sex Tape for Channel 4.

The new appointment is part of an ambitious three-year growth plan, through which the business is investing £15m in content and digital to position STV as a major creative force in Scotland and beyond.

STV Productions recently announced the appointment of leading creative talent Craig Hunter as Creative Director, Factual and Ramy El-Bergamy as Head of Development, Daytime & Popular Factual.
