Shemar Moore returns as SWAT sergeant, former Marine and professional hunk of meat Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson in the first episode of the second series which starts tonight on Sky One.

Tonights opening edition entitled Shaky Town brings another hour of action-packed crime drama. In this opening episode, The SWAT team engages in a standoff with human traffickers holding child hostages when a major earthquake hits Los Angeles during their operation and compromises the takedown.

Also, while Hondo forms an unexpected personal connection with Deputy District Attorney Nia Wells, Jim Street has trouble adjusting to his new life as a patrol officer.

Coast V Country, Channel 4 at 5.35pm

Surjan, Nicky and their two children have outgrown their current home in Southampton and would like to find a larger property further out of the city.

Civil servant Surjan dreams of a large, detached house in the countryside, closer to his work in Salisbury. But teaching assistant Nicky would prefer to be closer to the family-friendly coast in Bournemouth, where she believes there will be plenty more activities for the kids to enjoy.

Kirsty Duffy scours the countryside to find the very best properties for their budget of £470,000, while Kerr Drummond combs the coastline for the ultimate family home. But will Surjan and Nicky choose coast or country?


Top Gear, BBC Two at 8pm

It’s an electric car special, as Chris, Freddie and Paddy each attempt to build their own battery powered sports car on a budget. Chris tests the Tesla Model 3 on track, while Danny Boyle and Himesh Patel guest.

The future of cars, we’re told, is electric. Problem is, most electric cars out there at the moment are either (a) very expensive or (b) very boring, or (c) both. The TG presenters reckon that, if the world’s to get really excited about EVs, what we need is a budget electric sports car. Something cheap, battery-powered and, most importantly, fun.
