Keeley Hawes to lead two part drama Honour for ITV
Hawes is to star as the real-life detective who brought five killers to justice in the heartbreaking true story of Banaz Mahmod, a young Londoner whose family killed her after she fell for the wrong man.
Honour is described as ‘the powerful story of Detective Chief Inspector Caroline Goode’s passionate search to discover the fate of missing 20-year old Banaz’.

DCI Goode, played by Keeley Hawes, discovered that Banaz had been to the police on five separate occasions to note that threats had been made to her life from members of her own family. Appalled that her own colleagues had missed multiple chances to prevent a so-called “honour” killing, Caroline vowed to get justice for Banaz.
The two-part factual drama – made in association with Keeley’s production company Buddy Club – has been written by Gwyneth Hughes, will be directed by Richard Laxton, produced by Alliea Nazar and executive produced by Liza Marshall, Gwyneth Hughes, Peter Kosminsky and Keeley Hawes.
