Lorraine Kelly joins STV for game show
Lorraine Kelly will present exciting new format quiz show, The Cash Machine, STV have announced.

Viewers to the STV regions will have known for some time Lorraine is to host a new series with promos airing asking for participants, however this week STV have finally confirmed the programme and the format.
STV Productions are to produce the high pressure quiz The Cash Machine which is described as an ‘electrifying, peak time game show’. With thousands of pounds available, contestants play to answer a series of creative and challenging questions and access the PIN number to the world’s most generous ATM.
Scottish television personality Lorraine Kelly will host The Cash Machine, which will debut on STV later in the year. Production on the new series is already underway.
As part of STV’s growth strategy, the broadcaster confirmed it would maximize its producer-broadcaster status and invest in new original content as part of a commitment to be Scotland’s home of news and entertainment. The format for The Cash Machine was developed by STV Productions Entertainment team, and the new series will be piloted initially in Scotland with scope for the format to be distributed in UK and international markets.
STV has previously produced game shows for ITV including Babooshka with Rylan Clark-Neal, Wheel of Fortune with Nicky Campbell and children’s quiz Finders Keepers for CITV. The Glasgow based production company also currently produce Catchphrase and Celebrity Catchphrase for ITV.
Actress Lorraine Kelly is best known for her performing roles on GMTV and TV-am. She currently stars as a version of herself on the Lorraine chat show for ITV. Others to play Lorraine on the programme include Carol Vorderman and Christine Lampard.
