Casting announced for the second episode of ITV drama Invisible
Filming has commenced on the second episode of ITV’s new contemporary crime drama Invisible.
Set in Bath, Invisible has been created and written by DCI Banks’ Robert Murphy with the first outing comprising of two two-hour long crime mysteries. The sleuth protagonists – the ambitious DCI McDonald and the shy, modest DS Dodds – will be played by Tala Gouveia and Jason Watkins respectively.
For the second instalment they will be joined by BAFTA Award nominees Joanna Scanlan and Hugh Dennis, alongside Michele Dotrice, Caroline Catz, Freddie Fox and Kiran Sonia Sawar.
Scanlan will play Kelly Mulcreevy, the Director of private clinic, The Mara Retreat, with Hugh Dennis playing the part of the facility’s CEO. Treating patients with a range of disorders, the exclusive hospital comes under scrutiny when one of the patients is unexpectedly found dead in her room.
Determined to get to the bottom of the crime, the clinic’s patients are all individually investigated by DCI McDonald and DS Dodds, including sex addict Alison (Caroline Catz), gambling addict Mary (Michele Dotrice), drug addict Miles (Freddie Fox) and Maheeda (Kiran Sonia Sawar) who suffers from social anxiety. Suzanne Packer and Charlotte Ritchie also feature in the episode.
The newly-announced cast members follow Robert Lindsay, Ellie Kendrick, Susannah Fielding, Rosalie Craig and Navin Chowdhry, who have previously been confirmed to star in the first episode of the drama series.
Invisible is being produced by Mammoth Screen for ITV with filming taking place in the west country.
