Prison riot for Coronation Street
David faces a killer decision when he goes head to head with rapist Josh in prison this coming week in Corrie.
David and Josh, before the rape.
“The other prisoners say Josh needs teaching a lesson and in a riot you can get away with anything, there’ll be no witnesses and they’ll bring Josh to him.” – Jack P Shepherd
As he serves time for money laundering David, played by Jack P Shepherd, is horrified to learn that the man who raped him is also behind bars, awaiting trial for another male rape, in the same facility.
Initially hesitant to disclose what Josh (Ryan Clayton) did to him, David eventually reveals all to their fellow inmates who see it as an opportunity for a riot, telling David that it’s his chance to exact revenge on Josh.
However, mindful that he is getting out soon, David tries to keep his head down when the riot breaks out, but when he’s handed a pair of scissors and presented with Josh, will he be able to resist the urge to take the ultimate revenge?
“Josh’s safety is at risk and he can’t play the cards he used to play anymore. But he knows he still can use control over David and he does. He is full of bravado but the second he is alone with David you really see how scared and panicked he is.” – Ryan Clayton
When news of the riot hits the street, Shona is left to deal with a confused and disruptive Max, who’s wondering whether David will be home in time for their wedding day.
David will encounter Josh in prison this coming Friday with the riot occurring on Monday 21st October from 7.30pm on ITV, STV and UTV.
“David finds himself swept up in their plan, the thought is certainly there and when he’s presented with the scissors I think he’s capable of anything.” – Jack P Shepherd
