Caroline Flack to present plastic surgery entertainment show for Channel 4

Contestants will try to win the chance to go under the knife in a new Channel 4 series.

Caroline Flack is to front The Surjury for the broadcaster.

“I’m over the moon to be hosting this exciting brand new show and my first for Channel 4.” – Caroline Flack

Channel 4 say that the series will allow people to ‘explore their choices more thoroughly’ as well as gain ‘measured advice from their peers’ prior to undertaking a cosmetic procedure.

Caroline will introduce those wanting the surgery to the Jury – some of whom may have gone under the knife themselves – sharing facts about the procedures and the cosmetic surgery that they are seeking. As in any criminal trial, candidates must secure the backing of the majority of the jury in order to get their desired procedure. Months later they’ll be invited back to show the results.

“We’re delighted to have Caroline on board. To many, cosmetic surgery can seem like a ‘quick fix’ to a problem, but with Caroline and the Jury’s help, this new series looks at who wants it, and why – allowing those who make a strong enough case to their peers, to undergo the procedure of their choice. The show will neither glamorise nor condemn their choices: the aim is instead to interrogate the realities.” – Becky Cadman, Factual Entertainment Commissioning Editor, Channel 4

The series will be made by Gobstopper Television in Manchester and could see a change of title before transmission.
