In Weatherfield Alya tries to make Yasmeen see what Geoff is really like.
The week in Weatherfield starts with Alya trying to get her gran Yasmeen to see sense when it comes to the dubious Geoff. However he’s filling his wife’s head with lovely tales of what their life would be like abroad. When Alya discovers his plan to move to Cyprus she decides to confront Yasmeen with some hard facts. While initally her plan fails, she later discovers some evidence against Geoff that may help her cause.
Over at ‘Shadypines’ or the home of luxury retirement Ken’s interested to see that there’s a Literary Society talk planned for that evening. However when the talk might be cancelled, Claudia suggests Ken could present the evening. When Felicity asks for questions from the floor, the first hand up is Norris Cole! Later Norris confides in Ken that he and Freda moved into Stillwaters several weeks ago – but the place is driving Norris mad and he wants Ken’s help to ‘escape’.
Back in Coronation Street Bernie suggests to Gemma they go out for tea and leave Paul and Billy to babysit, however Gemma is quietly anxious at the very thought of being parted from her babies so insists that an evening in would be just fine.
As the week comes to a close Emma’s worried when she overhears Mary warning Alina to tread carefully where Seb’s concerned. Emma tells Alina that if she and Seb still have feelings for each other, she’d rather know then she can walk away. Alina assures Emma that she has no interest in Seb and would never do anything to hurt her. When Seb later offers to buy Alina a drink she refuses. Seb’s disappointment is clear to see leaving Emma looking on all to aware.
