It’s not the best of week’s for Jimmi in Doctors it has to be said…
As the week starts Jimmi has been moved to St Phil’s to recover from his injuries. The Mill gang are afraid Al will be attacked next, and suggest he goes and visit his mum. Al, exhausted, is sorely tempted. Later, Valerie via Ruhma, smuggle wood flowers into Jimmi’s guarded side room. Jimmi is touched by the kindness of his friends. However, happiness is short-lived when someone in disguise sneaks in and tries to kill Jimmi by injecting him.
Also, this week Farrier and Margrave realise they only have circumstantial evidence against Jimmi’s persecutor, who has an answer for everything, continually wrong-footing them. They show CCTV of them at the hospital about to attack Jimmi – but it’s not enough to provoke a confession. With only one card to play left, they make a final attempt to get to the truth.
On Thursday there is a special hour-long edition to mark 20 years of Doctors on BBC One Daytime. Bear has been approached by a documentary crew who will film the entire episode as a fly on the wall documentary and this episode, in a change to the usual format, and will be the finished documentary. So although it will look different in style the gang do what they always do; listen, diagnose, treat and try to heal.
The episode will also feature the return of the legendary Julia Parsons, who still has strong links with the Mill Health Centre, particularly Jimmi who is struggling to adjust to life after prison. Julia will be looking after Jimmi as well as being interviewed by the documentary crew about the creation of the Mill; its history, philosophy and work ethic.
