Over in the village, we call Emmerdale, the week begins with Aaron noticing the underlying tension between Paddy and Chas.
Later, after the joint Christenings, the whole pub is stunned when Chas berates Paddy for leaving Eve alone in front of everyone. She’s still very angry and distraught by the whole incident.
Things go from bad to desperate when Social Services turn up at The Woolpack and Chas has to cover for Paddy’s whereabouts, after he exited like a phantom in the night. When he fails to turn up, Chas fumes at Paddy for letting Eve down, leaving the vet in a sweat utterly bereft.
Love is in the air, however, well for now anyway, as Victoria and Luke reside in Keepers and indulge in some hanky-panky.
Victoria asks Luke if he fancies an ‘early night’. The morning after, Luke’s on cloud nine but Victoria well, she’s probably had better nights. Elsewhere Eric impresses Brenda with his healthy snacks. He urges her to give them a try. This leaves Jacob to suspect that granddad Pollard may have the hots for Brenda, something he feels is confirmed when Eric offers to buy the lady an alcoholic beverage.
Also this week Rhona’s overwhelmed with emotion upon learning Pierce has been sentenced to life in prison while Zak is pleased to be back with his family.
Harriet tries to calm a stressed-out Dawn over Lucas visiting and Malone gives an anxious Will the details of a new job. Later, Will’s floored to realise Cain’s had enough of working for Malone.
Emmerdale on ITV, STV and UTV at 7pm and 8pm on Thursdays.
