Thomson to return to Corrie

Actor John Thomson is to return to Coronation Street for a longer stint following a brief appearance in the ITV soap late last year.

It’s been confirmed that John Thomson will return to Coronation Street later this year for a longer stint following the actor’s brief appearance, as Jesse, late last year. The character is set to rekindle his romance with Eileen Grimshaw [Sue Cleaver] and will also become friendly with Peter Barlow [Chris Gascoyne].

When Thomson appeared in the ITV soap last year the actor remarked on the possibility of returning to the soap for a longer stint if he was able to. Thomson is probably best known for his role in the ITV drama series Cold Feet and also for his work on sketch show The Fast Show. He also had roles in New Street Law and the Blackpool. Thomson will start filming again on the ITV soap in May and will be on-screen in early July.
