Skins Future Uncertain

The future of E4’s teen-drama series Skins is uncertain according to actress Kaya Scodelario as she reveals the cast haven’t heard about a fourth season yet.

A fourth season of Skins hasn’t yet been commissioned according to actress Kaya Scodelario who plays Effy Stonem in the E4 series. The third series of the controversial drama series is currently airing on E4 and attracting good audiences but the actress revealed that the cast haven’t heard whether or not they’ll be back for a fourth series.

“I’m really hoping we do a fourth series of Skins, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen. They haven’t told us yet, what with the credit crunch and all. We finished filming [the third] series just before Christmas, so at the moment I’m just relaxing.” – Kaya Scodelario talking to London Lite

The original teen-cast of Skins was dropped at the end of series two by producers and a new cast introduced at the start of series three. Kaya Scodelario was one of two teen-actresses to return for series three, having appeared in the past two seasons.
