This Morning in search for new presenter as Fern Britton quits
Television presenter Fern Britton is to leave magazine show This Morning after ten years with the ITV daytime series.

ITV has announced that Fern Britton will step down from presenting its ITV daytime show This Morning after ten years with the popular magazine show. The presenter is leaving the show to concentrate on other projects and spend more time with her family. She will continue to co-host the daytime programme with Phillip Schofield until the end of July – when the series will take a break over the summer.
“After 10 years with This Morning, I have decided to leave the show at the end of the current series. I will present my last show on 17 July, my birthday, which seems somehow appropriate. The This Morning team are simply the best and I will miss them all very much but I am looking forward to the freedom of exploring other things I want to do, and also spend more time with my wonderful family.” Fern Britton
Hosting the prime time celebrity series Mr & Mrs.
Britton has co-hosted This Morning with Phillip Schofield for seven years and their on-screen partnership has proved to be a popular point with fans. Previous to working alongside Schofield on the series Britton presented alongside John Leslie before he was forced to leave the show due to a series of tabloid stories regarding him.
Phillp and Fern have also worked on other projects for ITV, as solo presenters and together, with Fern hosting her own series That’s What I Call Television, and as a duo they currently host a revived celebrity version of Mr & Mrs. No announcement has been made to whether Fern will continue to host alongside Phillip on the latter.

I’ve been lucky enough to work with her for six of those years and can honestly say that they have been amongst the best of my career. We have cried together over stories and we have laughed ourselves breathless too. I’m really proud of what we have achieved together on the show.” – Phillip Schofield
Fern Britton’s replacement on This Morning will be announced in due course ITV said earlier today.
