The Invisibles axed

BBC drama The Invisibles, starring Warren Clarke, Anthony Head and Jenny Agutter, won’t be back for a second series.

The BBC has decided not to renew drama series The Invisibles for a second season due to low ratings. The drama starred Warren Clarke and Anthony Head as a pair of retired criminals who are tempted back to a life of crime. The series also starred Dean Lennox-Kelly, Jenny Agutter and Anthony Head’s daughter, Emily Head.

The opening episode performed well for BBC One attracting over five million viewers but the critics weren’t impressed and by the end of its run nor were the viewers as only three million were left watching the series. Perhaps unsurprisingly the BBC has opted not to commission a second series.
