Less Gavin and Stacey
The third and probable final season of BBC comedy Gavin and Stacey will be slightly shorter than previous runs with just six episodes.
The third season of Gavin and Stacey, the hit BBC comedy series, will be shorter than the first two seasons of the show as they’ll be one less episode. The final season of the series will be just six episodes long as co-writers James Corden and Ruth Jones, who also star in the series, are too busy to write seven episodes.
The series stars Matthew Horne and Joanna Page in the title roles with Jones and Corden playing friends of the pair in the comedy which started on BBC Three.
A BBC spokesperson confirmed the final series of the comedy would only be six episodes long.
Jones and Corden confirmed late last year that they were working on a third series of Gavin and Stacey although said it would likely be the show’s last season.
A Christmas Special aired on BBC One over the festive period to strong ratings. Corden has joked of the possibility of more Christmas Special’s further down the line.
