Max Clifford defends his client Jade Goody

Sir Michael ParkinsonPublicist Max Clifford has defended reality television star Jade Goody, who’s funeral was held over the weekend, after Sir Michael Parkinson branded her “ignorant”.

Sir Michael ParkinsonUnsurprisingly Max Clifford, publicist to the stars, has hit back at Sir Michael Parkinson after the veteran chat-show host wrote about Jade Goody in the Radio Times. Sir Michael Parkinson launched an attack on the reality television star and described her as representing “all that’s paltry and wretched about Britain today”.

Max Clifford was publicist to Jade Goody during her reality television career and represented her right up to her death from cancer. Goody was buried at the weekend in a funeral widely compared to that of Princess Diana’s, mostly described as such by the gutter tabloids. Speaking to The Daily Mail newspaper Max Clifford attacked Sir Michael Parkinson for making such comments.

“I think it’s a horrible thing for Parkinson to have said. The girl has just been buried and her family are still grieving. Jade has spoken about her regret that she was not educated and shown her commitment to her younger sons getting the best schooling” Max Clifford talking to The Daily Mail.

The paper says that Parkinson’s voice is a lonely one in the wilderness and fans of Goody will be outraged but the top three comments left by readers of the story all agree with Sir Michael Parkinson!
