Desperate Housewives returns to ABC with 8 million viewers
After a month off-air Desperate Housewives returned to ABC last night with 8 million viewers.
8pm: ABC fantasy drama Once Upon A Time won the hour in terms of total viewers and the all important 18-49 viewers; the latest episode drew 9 million viewers overall with a 2.9 18-49 rating. Animated comedy The Simpsons, on Fox, came second in the hour in terms of 18-49 viewers with a 2.3 rating and 5 million viewers overall followed by Bob’s Burgers with 3.9 million viewers with a 1.9 18-49 rating. CBS‘s Amazing Race though had more viewers than Fox’s offerings with 8.4 million viewers but had a 2.2 rating. Harry’s Law continued on NBC with 7.3 million viewers with a lowly 0.9 18-49 rating.
At 9pm animated Fox comedy Family Guy won the hour with its 18-49 rating of 2.8 but conversely was bottom of the hour in terms of total viewers as Desperate Housewives, The Good Wife and Celebrity Apprentice all had more viewers. Overall Family Guy had 5.6 million viewers with The Cleveland Show at 8.30 pulling in 4 million viewers with a 1.9 rating. Desperate Housewives returned to ABC for a new episode after four weeks off air as the soapy drama nears its grand finale in May. The episode, Lost My Power, was seen by 8 million viewers with a 2.5 rating. The season finale of The Good Wife on CBS had 9.8 million viewers meaning it was top of the hour in terms of total viewers; it had an 18-49 rating of 1.7. Finally the 9pm hour was rounded off by Celebrity Apprentice on NBC which had 5.67 million viewers with a 1.7 rating.
At 10pm GCB (Good Christian Bitches) continued its average performance on ABC with 5.6 million viewers with an 18-49 rating of 1.9 while NY 22 on CBS had 7.5 million viewers but had a 1.2 rating. Celebrity Apprentice continued on NBC with 6.8 million viewers with a 2.2 rating meaning it topped the hour in the 18-49 category.
