Aston Kutcher signs new Two and a Half Men deal
Aston Kutcher has signed a one-year deal to remain with CBS comedy Two and a Half Men.
The CBS comedy was notably absent from the broadcasters recent round of renewals though it was widely expected the series would be given a new season order. It’s absence from the list was due to cast negotiations over contracts which have reportedly concluded now and a 10th season of Two and a Half Men will happen.
Kutcher has signed a deal said to be worth $700,000 per episode while co-star Jon Cryer has signed a new deal which will see the actor earn ‘slightly less’. Actor Angus T. Jones has also signed a new deal to remain with the comedy which is reportedly worth $300,000 per episode.
While ratings for Two and a Half Men have fallen this season it is still a big performer for CBS and the departure of Charlie Sheen hasn’t had as much impact as it may have had. The first episode to feature Kutcher was seen by a massive 27.7 million viewers in September. Last night’s episode of the comedy had 11.2 million viewers.
