The Vampire Diaries ratings hold steady for ITV2
ITV2‘s supernatural import The Vampire Diaries continued to perform well for the digital channel on Tuesday evening.

The latest episode of the vampire drama, Heart of Darkness, drew 360,000 viewers at 9pm with an additional 150,000 watching an hour later via the time-shift channel. That gives the episode a combined audience of more than 500,000 viewers. Heart of Darkness saw original witch Esther (Alice Evans) take-over the body of her vampire daughter Rebekah (Claire Holt) in her bid to kill her vampire children and wipe out the blood-sucking race.
The third season of The Vampire Diaries is nearing its conclusion and the gap between UK and American episodes has narrowed considerably due to the stop-start nature of the American broadcasts. The season finale, The Departed, is due to air on The CW on 10th May while it is expected to air on ITV2 on 22nd May.
Elsewhere on Tuesday evening multi-channel while new drama Touch, starring Kiefer Sutherland, pulled in 340,000 viewers for Sky One at 8pm. Critically acclaimed drama Mad Men continued to perform disappointingly for Sky Atlantic at 9pm with 50k viewers.

In a mystery, one way to solve it is to find the character who is always around but doesn’t seem to have a purpose. Because they usually do have one, you just don’t know it yet. Why would he do it? They could come up with a reason. Maybe he’s compelled or has another reason.

Amazing ep! My favorite part was when all of the Originals aeraeppd in the living room. I’ve never been able to predict things on this show, but I was actually right that his mother was in the coffin! I agree that Candice did an amazing job (as always). I’m really excited about this Stefan/Damon/Elena love triangle and I hope all of the tension between the characters lasts. I thought it was interesting when Stefan asked Elena if she has asked Damon who he has killed lately. Is it at all possible that Damon is killing off vamp hunters in order to make sure that Stefan is kept safe? While Damon knows that Alaric has the ring, Alaric has been having trouble with it, and he needed Damon’s blood last time.
Brill show good to know its doing well.
