Misfits star Lauren Socha pleads guilty over racist attack

Lauren Socha pleaded guilty yesterday to racially aggravated assault of a taxi driver and has been given a four month jail sentence, suspended for one year.
The BAFTA award-winning actress also received 80 hours of community service. She pleaded guilty for attacking taxi driver Sakander Iqbal in Derby city centre on October 1 last year.
A Channel 4 spokesperson has told Digital Spy that the actress, who plays Kelly in E4’s Misfits drama, will not be returning to the show. They insisted that it is nothing to do with the conviction and that an agreement was reached between the programme makers and Socha herself earlier in the year.
