Dynasty reboot arrives on UK Netflix
The Dynasty reboot arrives on Netflix today.
It’s a new Dynasty, as the 1980s ‘super soap’ gets a modern-day reboot.
The iconic prime time soapĀ returns as we once again follow two of America’s wealthiest families, the Carringtons, and the Colbys, as they feud for control over their fortune and their children.
Fallon Carrington (Elizabeth Gillies) is charismatic, cunning, and poised to become the new COO of her father’s global energy empire, or so she thinks. When her father, Blake Carrington, (Grant Show) summons Fallon and her brother, Steven, (James Mackay) home to the family compound in Atlanta, Fallon is horrified to learn that the reunion isn’t to announce her promotion, but rather to make the acquaintance of their stepmother-to-be, Cristal (Nathalie Kelley).
Waterfight: Lily pond scene in the original Dynasty which was a hit both in the USA and UK back in the 1980s.
Cristal is stunning, and almost as young as Fallon, as Fallon is quick to point out, but she isn’t just some flimsy gold-digger to be scared off. Dynasty, the Rolls Royce of all big budget stateside soaps returns to UK screens from today. The story and format has underwent its modernised reboot via CBS and Fake Empire productions.
Available first-run on Netflix in selected countries outside America, with Netflix giving the show its second run in the states. Dynasty series one is available on UK Netflix from today (October 12th).
