Bruno Langley charged with sexual assault

Coronation Street star Bruno Langley has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.

The actor is accused of assaulting a woman at a music venue in the city earlier this month. He will appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday November 28th.

Over the weekend it was reported that Langley had been dropped from his role as Todd Grimshaw in Coronation Street following an internal inquiry in relation to the allegations against him.

“Scenes featuring Bruno will continue to be screened until December 24. These were filmed before our inquiry started. Subsequent storylines beyond this point have been rewritten.” – Coronation Street spokesperson

The 34-year-old actor has played the role of Todd on-and-off since 2001.

Details of the allegations he is facing are as yet unknown, but Langley was said to be ‘shocked and upset’ upon learning of them.

The alleged incident is thought to have occurred at the Band On The Wall club during former Corrie star Craig Charles’ monthly funk and soul night.
