John Simm to star in ITV drama White Dragon

ITV release casting details as ‘conspiracy thriller’ White Dragon enters production.

Filming has commenced in Hong Kong with John Simm taking on the role of the drama’s lead character, Professor Jonah Mulray.

Filming alongside Simm are Anthony Wong, Emilia Fox, Tim McInnerny, Anthony Hayes, Raquel Cassidy, Katie Leung and Dervla Kirwan.

Professor Jonah Mulray’s life is turned upside-down when his wife, Megan (Dervla Kirwan), is killed in a car-crash in Hong Kong. Overcoming his aviophobia, Jonah journeys to Asia to identify his wife’s body. However, it soon becomes apparent that there was more to her death than at first meets the eye.

Created and written by newcomers Mark Denton and Jonny Stockwood, the eight-part drama is being made by Two Brothers Pictures.
