The Hour loses 1 million viewers

The Hour{jcomments on}BBC Two’s new 1950s drama The Hour dropped by 1 million viewers on Tuesday evening.

The drama, revolving around a newsroom in the 1950s, premiered last week with an impressive 3 million viewers but met with mixed reviews. The second instalment of The Hour, which stars Romola Garai and Ben Whishaw, saw a big drop in viewers as 1 million failed to return. According to overnight figures The Hour’s second outing had 1.8 million viewers at 9pm.  Beforehand at BBC Two Caroline Quentin’s Restoration Home had 2.6 million viewers.
