PCC chair to step down after phone hacking scandal

Baroness Buscombe, the chair of the Press Complaints Commission, will leave her post in January 2012.

It has been confirmed today that she will not renew her contract, which will expire in January next year. The Press Complaints Commission came under pressure after failing to enforce and react accordingly to the phone hacking scandal which has engulfed the media.
