Cougar Town to move to TBS?

ABC’s struggling comedy Cougar Town could move to TBS according to reports.

Deadline reports that TBS and producers ABC Studios are in preliminary talks about picking up Cougar Town, the comedy starring Courtney Cox. The low rated series is widely tipped for cancellation and the fact that talks are underway between ABC and TBS has prompted some to claim Cougar Town is all but cancelled; on ABC at least. The latest episode of the comedy had 4.8 million viewers with a 1.3 rating.

As yet though ABC has yet to officially decide the fate of Cougar Town either way and even if it does cancel it the comedy won’t necessarily move to TBS – a deal will have to be struck. It’s likely though ABC Studios will be keen to see the series continued even if it does involve a move to another broadcaster.
