Frances Barber 'saving up' for cosmetic surgery
Actress Frances Barber, soon to be seen in BBC One drama Silk, has revealed she is ‘saving up’ for cosmetic surgery.
The actress joins the cast of legal Silk for its second season, which launches soon, playing Caroline Warwick. In a new interview with the Radio Times Barber has revealed that while she doesn’t care about getting older she is ‘saving up’ for a facelift to look ‘less tired’.
“I don’t care about getting older. I really don’t. I’m 54, I feel 26 and I act 12……I’d be a hypocrite if I said I’d never get a facelift – I’m saving up for one – but it’ll be tiny adjustments, the kind of thing that just makes you look less tired.” – Frances Barber in the Radio Times
Silk returns to BBC One on Tuesday 15th May for its second series which will also see Phil Davis and Indira Varma join regulars Maxine Peake and Rupert Penry-Jones. Phil Davis and Rupert Penry-Jones star alongside each other in ITV crime drama Whitechapel.
Doctor Who fans will recognise Frances Barber as ‘eye patch lady’ Madame Kovarian who appeared in several episodes of the recent sixth season of the sci-fi series. Madame Kovarian was responsible for kidnapping Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory’s (Arthur Darvill) baby daughter Melody. The actress also appeared in BBC One’s critically acclaimed adaptation of Great Expectations which aired over Christmas to strong ratings and good reviews.
