Ashleigh and Pudsey win Britain's Got Talent 2012

Ashleigh and Pudsey have won Britain’s Got Talent

Ashleigh and dog Pudsey put on a spectacular performance in tonight’s live final. They win £500,000 and a slot at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.  Pudsey put on a ‘miracle’ performance as Simon Cowell said they were one of his favourite acts ever. Ashleigh and Pudsey put on a dance display set against the Mission Impossible theme tune.
They had been second favourite to win according to the bookmakers, with Jonathan and Charlotte the hot favourite. The operatic duo finished in second place with choir Only Boys Aloud finishing third.

At the start of tonight’s final The Mend were confirmed as the wildcard act. Previous Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity performed on the show along with Susan Boyle, who they controversially beat in 2009.
David Walliams gave a special performance alongside The Showbears. He first got on stage with them at the auditions and had ‘championed’ them throughout.
It is expected that David and Alesha Dixon will be back alongside Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell after positive feedback from fans of the show. Cowell has said on ITV 2’s Britain’s Got More Talent that he will have all of them back next year.
