Cotton to stay at Corrie and ITV
‘Actor’ turned ‘presenter’ Antony Cotton has signed a new contract to stay with the Manchester soap, and ITV, for a further two years – news sure to disappoint his legions of critics.
Much criticised ‘actor’ and ‘presenter’ has surprisingly been offered a new contract with Coronation Street and ITV. His new two year contract will see him stay on in Corrie as Sean Tully and develop new projects, at the same time, for ITV.
This is despite the fact his chat-show flopped big time and was panned by just about everyone who saw it. Although it debuted to impressive ratings within days audiences were turning off and soon enough children’s show Newsround was beating it!
The actor hasn’t done too well in Corrie either with many, many, many critics bashing his ‘acting’ style. Cotton won Soapstar Superstar last January but it has since been revealed the competition was far from fair and viewers votes were ignored. However, seemingly someone at ITV obviously thinks that Cotton is popular and has offered him a new contract. Appearantly a game-show is on the horizons…well it’ll give Newsround something else to trash in the ratings.
