Sanctuary Cast React To Axing
The cast of Syfy series Sanctuary have reacted to the news the supernatural drama will not be returning for a fifth season.
Syfy confirmed yesterday that it had not picked up Sanctuary for a fifth season confirming the worst fears of fans. The 13-part fourth series of Syfy aired late last year concluding in December and since then fans have been patiently awaiting news of its fate. The long wait though convinced many of them that Sanctuary would not be returning – something now confirmed.
Lead actress Amanda Tapping, quoting her character of Dr. Magnus, wrote on Twitter “Bloody hell” and also thanked fans of the series for their supporting tweeting “We love and adore you. Thank you for the love and support. Now to the long dark tea time of my soul”
Robin Dunne on Twitter wrote “Thanks to our wonderful @SanctuarySeries fans for 4 years of love & support. You gave us a great life. See you on the next one. XO.” while Ryan Robbins tweeted “Truly overwhelmed by all the wonderful #Sanctuary messages. You guys continue to be full of awesomeness. #bestfansever,”
Sanctuary originally started out as a web series in 2007 and was subsequently picked up for a television series by Syfy in 2008. In the UK the series aired on digital channel ITV4.
