The Havering Show reveal 2019 line up

The 2019 Havering Show has announced the line up for its 41st outing. Showstoppers include Toploader, Aswad and Alison Limerick.

After a monumental and historic 40th edition last year, the Havering Show makes a triumphant return to the gorgeous greenery of Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch, on August 25th and 26th with a vast array of musical talent including headline acts Toploader, Aswad, Alison Limerick and Motown star Mr Soul. In addition a full and fantastic programme of street food, classic cars, free sporting activities, a fairground, community performance stage for local talent and much more.

Organisers say ‘It will thrill you and chill you out, entertain you and educate you, keep you dancing and fill you up with delicious food, all in a safe and sunny environment.’ The main stage offers music from iconic UK chart toppers and British rock pioneers Toploader, legendary reggae band Aswad and vocal house music royalty and ‘Where Love Lives’ star Alison Limerick.

On top of this are beloved Motown sounds from singer Mr Soul, uplifting Eurodance from Italian hit makers Livin’ Joy and the smooth croons of former Stylistics lead singer Eban Brown as well as some of the most acclaimed tribute acts in the UK including Robbie Williams, Tina Turner, Oye Santana and Essex cover band Expose.

Next to those established stars, there is a real focus on local talents on the specially curated Community Performance Stage which will host performances from local theatre and dance groups, former X Factor contestants and a party for the little ones featuring some of their favourite TV characters.

There will also be music over at Fairkytes Live, Hornchurch’s intimate music venue; known for cultivating talent in the borough, the best of which will be on show across this very special weekend.

When the dancing shoes get a little tired, there is a whole other world of fun to explore at Havering Show. Attendees, we’re told here at ATV Today, will be able to marvel at the thrills and spills of the biggest stars from RCWA wrestling as they battle it out for affections. There is also a sports zone with football coaching, basketball sessions, egg ‘n’ spoon races, relays and para sports which are all free to join in with and facilitated by Everyone Active and Havering Council’s sports development team.

Those heading to the gig-fest can also get a taste of the countryside and meet some animals at the The Mini Farm, a traditional farm experience with interactive fun for all ages, soak up some history as you drift round a collection of military vehicles and learn about the third emergency service as you explore a collection of fire engines. You’ll even be able to bask in the beauty of more than 40 Classic Cars from Havering Classic Car Club.

Adrenaline junkies will enjoy the fairground, while foodies can get lost in the delicious street food offerings and temptations at the farmer’s market.
